Winner Update

Mary Jo Ganote won the contest in the September newsletter.  Her prize was two hours of free service from Lake Wylie Concierge.  You may wonder what kind of services we can do in two hours.....

So far the following requests are complete:

2.  Help flip queen mattress

3.  Take screen door to be re-screened at a hardware store, then re-install

Martie's Corner

Each month I'll highlight information about who I am, interests, hobbies, and organizations involved in. 

Chris and I have been married for six years.  River Hills has been our home  about 4 years and are thrilled with it's beauty and especially the great residents.

We met on a dating website - no kidding!! We've been inseparable ever since.  No one is more surprised then we are that this actually happened!

The Best Pumpkin Bread Ever

Sift together:

3 1/2 cups flour

2 tsp. soda

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. nutmeg

Cream together:

3 cups sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

Add:

 4 eggs

Add:

1 cup pumpkin

1 cup applesauce

2/3 cup water

1 cup find coconut*

1 cup Hershey's mini-chocolate pieces*

Bake 350° for 1 hour.  Cool before removing to wax paper or foil.  Makes 3 loaves.

*optional

(The bread seems to work best if baked in glass loaf pans sprayed with PAM.)
