Ahhhh, the beauty of spring:

The grass needs cutting, flowers need planting, weeds are growing and you've had that first bar-b-que.

Yes, it's upon us. Hopefully you are out and enjoying the georgous days we've had in Charlotte. Soon it will be amazingly hot and this is when many people get the heck out of dodge, or at least Charlotte! Some recent clients have flown to Ireland, Maui, Singapore and Mexico.

Image Oops, I did it....

Much to my display, it happened. Requested airport transportation was not provided. Can you apologize too much? How does an up and coming company recover from such a monumental mistake? The best it knows how; with reimbursed airport parking and complimentary round trip airport transportation.

Much to my delight, the clients were receptive and forgiving.

A solution to alleviate a repeat situation is to publish an online calendar with showing availability. You will be provided a client number to view your scheduled departure/arrival times.

This will be in the works and hopefully up and running by June 1, 2007 or before. Stay tuned!

Martie's Corner

This is the year for trying to have a green thumb. We've planted eucalyptus, forsythia, holly bushes, elephant ears, blue moon hydrangea, hummingbird or trumpet vines and of course azalea bushes. It's so much fun to walk around the yard and see things in bloom and growing!

We are even trying to grow zoyzia grass. So far so good.

A very fond memory from childhood, Happy Mother's Day to all....

ImageThis article and picture is from the Charlotte Observer -

"Mrs. James Yandle and her five children record a 30 minute message, compliments of the "Voices From Home Program" of the American Red Cross, for Tech Sgt. Yandle, stationed in Thailand. They are left to right: Vickie 6, Debbie, 11, Martie 4, Tommy 3, Mrs. Yandle and Barbara 9. Families, fiances and ministers have been invited to go to the Red Cross Chapter House to make free 30 minute tape recordings. Foreign students planning to stay in this country during the Christmas holidays also may take advantage of the service, said chairman Roy Eaker of the Military Families Committee. The Red Cross also will make free pictures to enclose with the recordings which can be airmailed as late as Dec. 10 and still get to the servicemen or foreign families by Christmas."

In closing,
